I found a bag of "heirloom rainbow carrots" at the grocery store te other day and thought they would be fun. I had never seen carrots that weren't just orange before. We'll roast them up for dinner tonight -- hope they taste yummy! (I'm assuming they all taste the same, but I'm interested to see if we can taste any difference between the different colors).

The verdict is in: the carrots were yummy! And you can tell a little bit of difference in flavor between the different colors. I thought the yellow ones tasted very much like the orange ones. But the purple ones were a little different -- almost a hint more like the flavor of squash. They were the best ones.
