Gospel ABC Book

*** Added November 2009 ***

I just wanted everyone to know that you are welcome to use these pages I have posted to create your own Gospel ABC Book. It isn’t necessary to e-mail me asking for permission to use the pages. You can just click on each page to zoom in, then copy and paste each page to save it on your computer. I also posted the pages that have family photographs with blank spots – so it’s easier for you to add your own family photos. And there’s an updated “P is for Prophet” page with a picture of President Monson too. You will find the Prophet page and the ‘blank’ pages by clicking here: http://bradshaw-family.blogspot.com/2009/09/blank-pages-for-gospel-abc-book.html Good luck making your own books. Enjoy, Stephanie!

Original Post:

So, several months ago I had seen this Gospel ABC Book for the kids to look at during sacrament meeting at church on Heather Dawson's website (http://dawsondomain.com/Gallery/album13). When I saw it, I thought it was a wonderful idea. But I hadn't made one before because the thought of trying to do a big scrapbooking project with all of my boys either eating the paper and glue or taking advantage of the fact that I was otherwise occupied and finding something mischievous to do around our home has caused me to put all of my scrapbooking on hold since Kolby learned how to crawl (I am looking forward to when our youngest child will someday be a few years old and I will be able to start scrapbooking again without it being a total nightmare). Anyways, I was looking at the book on Heather's site again the other day, and I decided to go for it. Since the family photos on the book are not of Heather's children, I don't know if Heather made this book for a friend, or if maybe a friend or family member of hers made it. (I felt a little guilty about taking someone else's ideas and just changing a few things in the book to personalize it for my kids, but after Googleing "Gospel ABC Book" and finding several different versions of this book that different people had made, I hope that Heather or whoever made the book on her site won't mind that I copied it -- but just so you all know, I am not taking any credit for the majority of the book, since several of the pages I didn't even change at all from the original on Heather' site). Having said that, I was kind of proud of the work that I did put into personalizing this Gospel ABC Book for my boys, (even though I just photoshopped in some of our own family photos and added a few different pictures -- I didn't do any real paper and glue scrapbooking). So, I had fun making the few changes to the book, and Kolby and Eli enjoyed looking at it after I got it all printed out yesterday, so I thought I'd share it here:

That is sooooo cute!!! I would love to look at the book in person. I am not a scrapbooker at all, but seeing your book might change that!

Stephanie -- I'm glad you could use it!! If you ever want the .psd files, just let me know. I have them saved on my computer! Also, I think I gave a copy of them on a CD to Leslie Tyson... Cute!

I just googled the Gospel ABC Book and found your post about it. SO CUTE! I LOVE IT! Our ward is going to be making them, but I would like to make this same one that you have made. Any ideas of how I could make the same one you have done??

Those are, hands down, the absolute cutest Gospel ABC book pages I have ever seen in my life! I love love love them! You are so incredibly talented.

I found your blog when I was searching the internet for ABC book ideas and yours is by far the best I have found. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to copy your pages and print them out? Of course I would need to change the family pictures and I'm not sure how to do that because I've never done digital scrapbooking, but hopefully I can learn. If you could email me at michelle.d.sheldon at hotmail dot com. Thank you!!

I was searching the net for this ABC Gospel book to create for our Super Saturday. So stinkin' cute! As I was snooping through your blog I see that we have many mutual friends from Poway (Bryn & Curtis Dean, the Fishers, and the Halls). How funny is that?! I don't know if you're giving permission to steal your idea, but I'll ask anyway. These are really very creative. Thanks for the ideas. (If you have any other ideas for Super Saturday, feel free to share. ha, ha!!!)

I, like everyone else, am in love with your gospel ABC book. I was wanting to make them for my sibling's kids for a Christmas present. Is it possible to have the files emailed to me so I can rework them for the individual families? marian_kanet@hotmail.com I don't know how you have the time to do all that with all your kids. I just have one, and I think I have my hands full :) Thanks for any help you could give.

I’ve had several requests for the Gospel ABC book pages lately, so I thought I’d post instructions here for how you can take copies of these pages to make your own book. I have previously posted all of the pages to the book on my blog, and I also did a later post on the blog with some of the pages that have “blank” spots for you to add your own family photos, and an updated page with President Monson on it. You should be able to go to the blog posts and click on each book page that you want to enlarge it, and then copy and past the page to save it on your own computer. Please let me know if you have any questions/problems with this, and I’d be glad to try to help (if you leave me a comment, please include your e-mail address if you want me to write you back).
So, the original post with all the Gospel ABC book pages is at http://bradshaw-family.blogspot.com/2007/08/gospel-abc-book.html and the other post with the “blank” pages is at http://bradshaw-family.blogspot.com/2009/09/blank-pages-for-gospel-abc-book.html. Hopefully this works well for you.
Thanks,
Stephanie Bradshaw

I hope you aren't too bothered with strangers asking for your copies. I also have googled a printable gospel ABC book, and decided yours if for sure the cutest :) I have tried to copy and paste the individual pages, but every time I blow it up, it becomes fuzzy. Is there any way you have it saved to your computer that you could just email? Only if you have a free second, of course :)
Thanks!
Jennifer

Absolutely darling! I've been wanting to make one for so long! And here, you've already done all the work! Thank you! A couple of questions though....Did you print your pages as full sheets or did you shrink them to a smaller size? And what did you put them in? A photo album, or did you just use page protectors?? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

oh my heavens! I love this! I just downloaded all the pages. I have two questions to ask: First did you just print them off on your home printer? I'm worried about the quality. Second did you laminate the pages or just put them in page protectors? If you don't mind emailing me that would be amazing! bless your heart!
