Little Scavengers

I love it whenever I look out the back window and see the boys in the bushes by the corner of the fence.  There is a black raspberry vine that grows along the fence in that corner, and they’ve been scavenging for berries for a month or so now – ever since the berries first started to turn pink.  They go out and search for berries at least once a day, and eat whatever they can find.  I can’t imagine there could be any more to find after 5 boys (and occasionally the dog) have eaten all they could find the previous day, but they keep returning for more, so they must be finding something.  The other day Camden came in to show me – he was so proud, holding one little black berry, as he said, “Look what I found!  It was hiding under a leaf.”
