Fire Department Open House

On October 9^th Fairport Village had it’s yearly “Scarecrow Festival,” and most of the events weren’t too exciting for us – except the Fire Department Open House, which was a lot of fun.  The boys got to climb in and on several different fire trucks, go down a large inflatable ‘fire truck’ slide, listen to the fire department band play while we ate our lunch, walk through the fire department building, and the highlight was trying on real fireman’s uniforms and gear.
