So, that room is officially finished – since we moved in we put in the bunk bed and matching dresser, and a green, blue, and yellow rug on the floor, and I got the matching navy blue comforters for the bunk beds and I made a matching comforter for Courtland’s bed, we put up the Noah’s Ark pictures on the walls and the little collection of Noah books with the lion book ends on top the dresser, we removed the old broken plastic blinds, painted the walls green and the trim white, I removed the old ceiling light (the one that looked like an over-sized sea shell) and replaced it, and put in the new blinds. Feels good to be totally finished with a room. Woohoo!

The Green Bedroom is Completely Finished!
So I got the last of the painting with the white paint finished on Wednesday – I painted the wood trim around the windows, door, and along the top of the closet door in the green bedroom, and got the trim and shelf in the downstairs pantry closet painted white too. After the white paint dried in the green bedroom, I put up these bamboo-style blinds (they were in the master bedroom when we moved in, and there are a few small places where they were broken when we moved in, but those spots are not noticeable, so I figured we might as well use them as long as they hold up. They’re not the kind of blinds I would pick out if we had our choice of styles, but I thought they’d actually look pretty cute in a Noah’s Ark themed bedroom with the natural wood tones). Anyways, now it’s a little less bright in there (since we removed the old blinds while painting), so it’s easier now for the boys to fall asleep in there at nap time.
