This last couple of weeks it has warmed up a bit and much of the snow has melted, just leaving patches here and there. Today it was 34 degrees outside and sunny. This afternoon Kolby asked, “Can I play outside because there’s not too much snow on the ground?” I told him he could if he’d try not to get his pants wet in the patches of snow because he had a piano lesson coming up soon. And he said, “And I don’t think I’ll even need hot chocolate after I come back in, because it’s not that cold out.” And I let him go out and play . . . wearing just a long sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt.
