Goodbye, Old Friend

Well, a couple weeks ago we said goodbye to our old friend, the triple stroller. That stroller has been with us through five boys (6, if you count Christopher, the little boy I used to watch when Kolby and Eli were small), three different states, an apartment and two different houses, med school, internship, and residency, and multiple doctor’s appointments, trips to the zoo, parades, days at the children’s museum, county fairs, and morning walks with other mommies and their strollers. It has also earned us numerous comments wherever we took it, like, “Look at the train!” and “I didn’t know they even made strollers that big!” (on top of the normal, “You’ve got your hands full,” that we hear every time we leave the house). But now we have a double stroller that functions quite well, and an umbrella stroller, and Camden doesn’t use the stroller very much now, so our triple was just taking up room in the garage. Luckily we have craigslist.com, otherwise I imagine it would have been rather difficult to find someone else who needed such a stroller (the new owner is pregnant for the first time – she is expecting triplets).

Wow. What else can you say? Goodbye, old friend.

I miss our walks we used to take, and the Children's Museum, and the zoo...

I gave my double to Marcela before we moved and just push my single around, and it's WONDERFUL! Be honest, are you really going to miss the big stroller that you had to velcro your diaper bag onto because it had no storage?!
