We got this swing set from someone on craigslist and the boys love it! They spend so much time swinging, sliding, and climbing – and I often look outside and see them sitting on the swings while eating their lunch or playing a new “game” they’ve made up where they all line up and go down the slide and then pile on top of each other at the bottom. Eli, our little monkey, can climb from the top of the slide along the swings all the way to the other end without touching the ground pretty easily. Kolby can do that now too, and Camden and Isaac are both getting more brave about sitting on the bars near the top of the slide. And just this week Kolby and Eli have both started climbing and sitting on the very top of the swing set. (These kids must be related to their mommy or something). When we got the swing set it was in very good condition, but the family who gave it to us must have had it for a while, since there kids were teenagers. The chains were rusty, and since we brought it home the chains had come down on a couple of the swings, so the other day we went to Home Depot and got some replacement chains, and I got some little removable chain links so now I can take those swings inside in the winter to avoid them getting rusty too. I’m so glad we found this swing set – I thought the boys would like it but that they would probably get tired of it after the novelty wore off, but they really do spend a lot of time using it, so that is really nice. (You can’t really tell on these little photos, but that is Kolby on the slide in the first two shots, and the last photo is one I ran out and took when I looked out the window and saw Kolby pushing Eli, Camden, and Isaac all on the swing at the same time – pretty cute!)
