So, I think I may have mentioned that I wanted to decorate the boys’ bedrooms with two different themes – one bedroom is going to have a Noah’s Ark theme and the other one is going to have an airplane theme. When I was in Utah, I started to get some airplanes for Eli and Isaac’s bedroom to hang from the ceiling. At stores like Ross and Marshalls they sometimes have these metal airplanes that look kind of like antique model planes (although they’re not really antiques). Anyways, I found some, but they weren’t quite the right colors, so I decided to paint them. I wanted them to be painted very simply in white, light blue, tan, and dark blue. I found 3 planes so far – I’d like to find a couple more, but haven’t come across any at the stores out here. The first two planes looked pretty similar – mostly white with some red and blue highlights. And the third plane I found was a pretty light blue color on the bottom of the wings, but the rest of the plane was an army camouflage pattern (I thought I took ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of all the planes, but it looks like I didn’t end up with a picture of that one before I painted it). So, I got all of the planes painted before we moved and now they’re all hanging in Eli and Isaac’s bedroom, and I think they look really nice (it will look even nicer in there once we get the walls painted and we can hang up the pictures and other things I have planned for that room). So, here are the ‘before’ and ‘after’ airplane pictures. Our camera broke on the 4th of July and we just got it sent in to be repaired, so I have been taking pictures on my cell phone – once I get those pictures from my phone I will have some to post of the airplanes hanging in their bedroom).
