Kolby's Recital

The day before Courtland's baby blessing, Kolby had his second piano recital, so it was very fun for him to have some extra family members and friends come to watch him. He played five songs and did quite well. He had a good time, and I thought it was especially cute that he stopped and turned to the audience while they clapped after each song. He played one duet with Michael, and his other songs had all the new things he has been learning: sharps and flats, stocato, and even one where he crossed his hands over each other. I am so glad that we started his lessons at this age. Although it is sometimes long for him to sit through a half hour lesson, he loves the lessons, practices without giving us any trouble, and has no stage fright. I think we'll start all of our kids on the piano at age 5 -- now we just need to find a new piano teacher when we move out there.

(Oh, sorry for the shaky video -- I had lots of little helpers pulling and bumping the camera while I was trying to record it).
