Eli on dinner and dessert
So, last night when we ate at the Barkers we had this really good grilled salmon for dinner, but Eli wouldn’t eat his dinner so we warned him that he wouldn’t get any of the brownies for dessert if he wouldn’t eat any of his salmon, and he said that was ok. So this morning he mentioned the brownies, and Michael said, “Maybe next time you will eat your dinner so that you can have some brownies, huh?” And Eli quickly (and very innocently) replied, “Yeah, and maybe next time we’ll eat something good for dinner.”

That's a smart kid. I wish I had thought of that when I was little.
