Primary Spotlight

They gave me this paper to fill out for Kolby's primary class at church, and it was kind of funny to see how he answered each question about all of his favorites. There were a few questions that he didn't have an answer for -- like when I asked him what his favorite candy bar was, he said "ice cream." (We don't have candy bars very often). And when I asked about his favorite sports team I wasn't suprised that he didn't know what that meant -- his answer was "baseball." (I'm glad, too -- I don't think a 4 year old really needs to know about things like sports teams yet). And then he said his favorite hobby was playing computer games -- that makes it sound like he gets to do that all the time. Actually, he would enjoy that, but he barely ever plays computer games at all lately. And I was rather suprised when he said blue was his favorite color, as he usually says pink (but I suppose Michael would be more pleased with that answer). Well, here are all his answers:

Photo Shoot

I had my friend, Amy Rahm, do a photo shoot of the boys in Milwaukee before we left, and we got the CD of her pictures in the mail the other day. I thought they turned out very cute, especially considering how difficult it is to get 4 little boys age 4 and younger to all look at the camera (let alone smile) all at the same time, and considering the fact that Isaac couldn’t sit up on his own yet. Here are my favorites. Amy, thank you for taking on this challenge for us, the pictures turned out great! Someday I think I’ll make a photo book of just pictures of the boys together and call it “Brothers.” I’m sure some of these shots will make it into that book someday.

A Nice Idea

I saw this link on my friend's blog, http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook?tag=3_sf, to have your blog printed and bound in a nice book. It actually looks like a really good idea. It even gives you the option to use a lot of different formats to make the pages of the book look nice, and not just everything listed in a long row like blogs often are. Anyways, i thought it looked like a nice format to preserve our family journal (our blog), and thought I'd share it in case anyone else was looking for a good way to do the same thing. (Maybe we'll actually be able to use it to print our blog once we have a real income someday). :)
