Oh, Snow

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We had a nice day together with our family.

I had to take some pictures around our yard a couple weeks ago after it’d been snowing nonstop for a week or so:

Very pretty! I was feeling rather grumpy that morning about shoveling and snow blowing driveways, and once I saw the light hitting the snow later that morning and took some pictures, it helped me change my attitude a bit. It reminded me of an old Christmas song that I looked up:

“The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing
But I can weather the storm!
What do I care how much it may storm?
For I've got my love to keep me warm

I can't remember a worse December
Just watch those icicles form!
Oh, what do I care if icicles form?
Oh, I've got my love to keep me warm

Off with my overcoat, off with my glove
I need no overcoat, I'm burning with love!
My heart's on fire, the flame grows higher
So I will weather the storm!
What do I care how much it may storm?
Oh, I've got my love to keep me warm”

Anyways, just thought I’d put together a few fun family snow pictures and videos from the last few years with that song in a little slideshow of my own (maybe I can remember to come enjoy the music and fun snow memories if I start to get down about the long winter again).    :)

Oh, and Michael just told me tonight: it's the 3rd greatest record snowfall for the month of December in recorded history for Rochester this year.  Woohoo!
