Lion Look-alikes: The Results

So, the pictures of the boys in the lion costumes go like this:

1. Courtland (age 8 months)
2. Kolby (age 1 year)
3. Camden (age 1 year)
4. Courtland (age 20 months)
Congratulations to my sister, Michelle, for guessing correctly!
So, my mom made the lion costume for Kolby when he turned one. Then, the next year, Eli dressed up as a cowboy (because my mom sent some really cute little baby cowboy boots), so Eli didn’t end up being a lion. Then Camden wore the costume when he had just turned one. And Isaac was going to wear it when he was that age, but when we moved from Milwaukee to Utah for the year of Michael’s internship before we moved to New York, we got there with the bodies of the lion and Elmo costumes (both made by my mom), but we were missing the heads of both costumes. (And just wearing a lion body and a red body for Elmo wouldn’t make much sense without the heads, so I ran out and found Isaac and Camden a couple of costumes – a frog and an orange tyrannosaurus. I was super disappointed that they didn’t get to wear the adorable costumes my mom had made, but was relieved when we eventually did find the head pieces of both costumes packed away). Anyways, then Courtland wore the lion costume when we moved here and he was about 8 months old. He would have worn the Elmo costume this year, but we needed a “Cowardly Lion” to go with the Wizard of Oz theme. I didn’t think there was any way that Courtland would still fit into the lion costume this Halloween, but was surprised when it fit him perfectly.
