Here are the proofs of the photos we ordered of boys on Saturday:
What cuties!
We took the boys to have their portraits taken on Saturday, and they did really well. (It helped that we bribed them with a ride on the carousel in the mall if they did everything the photographer asked them to – they were really excited about this, since we’d never ridden the carousel there before). We usually have a family photo taken every November, and I’ve started to have a set of pictures of the boys taken in the summertime also – so the last pictures we had taken of the boys are almost a year old and the younger ones have changed so much since then. We just got the e-mail with the little proof photos, and I thought I’d share them. I’m excited to go pick up the pictures later this week and get them all hung up in the house.
And here are the shots that we didn't end up ordering this time:
Oh, and I love how much we’re able to save when we get family photos taken. We go to JC Penney for our pictures, and they have a portrait membership that you can buy for about $30 – but I think there’s a discount if you order it online – and it lasts for two years. With it you don’t have to pay any sitting fees, and you get a few other freebies. Then when you pick up your portraits, there’s a little link on the envelope for filling out a survey online about your experience with the photographer – if you do this, you get a $3 off coupon. And then there are always coupons that come in the mail and that are on their website – I always use the one that is for 1 free 8x10 and the rest of the photo sheets for about $4 each. So, with all that we end up ordering an 8x10 of each boy, and one of them all together (this time we happened to order two of all the boys together). We got some nice pictures of all the boys, and we only paid about $20 (ok, $25, if you include the cost of the carousel ride that we bribed the boys with). I’d say that’s a pretty good deal. We always see parents in there while we waiting for our turn in the studio who have only one or two children and are spending hundreds of dollars at a time on photos. Don’t know how they do it (or why they do it, if you could take advantage of all the deals and spend so much less). Anyways, I’m pleased with what we got, and I don’t think you can really beat that price for professional portraits.

Wow! They have grown so big! They are adorable. Thank you for posting on my blog the other day and I would like you to know that I think about you and the family often. We definitly miss you and the family alot. I hope hope hope we will get the oppurtunity to come and visit you before you move again ...:) I hope you are doing well.
You got a lot of good pictures of the boys! Tyce doesn't really believe in paying for family pictures (or other pictures really), believing he can do it just as well himself. He does do pretty well, but I'd still like some professional shots, .
