Camden's Mural

So Camden was busy the other day! Somehow he found a little blue crayon in his bedroom during naptime. After naps I went in to find a mural that spanned the entire wall from the dresser on one side of the room to the door frame on the other side and from the floor up as high as the paintings hanging on the wall. I had to show Michael the drawings on the wall when Camden wasn’t in there, because we were actually admiring his picture – with two different life-size (about as tall as Camden) people who were holding hands all the way across the room. After we surveyed the damage, we brought Camden up and had a talk about how it’s not alright to color on anything except coloring books and coloring papers, and that we would have to scrub the pictures off the walls (thank goodness for ‘magic erasers’). Then Kolby added his two bits when he informed Camden that the reason we would have to remove the pictures from the walls is that someday when we sell our house the next people to live here might not like pictures on the walls. [I had to smile at that – I guess he’s noticed my drive to get all of our house projects done so that we can enjoy them while we’re living here, rather than waiting until we’re ready to sell this house someday and doing it all at the last minute for someone else to enjoy].
