So on Wednesday I’m going to do a genealogy night for the girls in my Activity Days class at church. The girls are working on requirements for an award, and one of the requirements is to share a family story and fill out a pedigree chart and a family group sheet. So I’ve asked the girls to come prepared with a brief family story to share, or to bring a photo of one of their ancestors that they can tell the group about. And I also asked them to bring the information needed to fill out the pedigree chart and family group sheets. But since some of the girls have already fulfilled these requirements for their awards (a couple of the girls are just about to age out of my class), and one of those girls asked if she needed to come because she’s already done it. I wanted all of the girls to feel welcome at our activity this week, so I told them that I’d make a decorative pedigree chart for them to fill out that they can hang up or display. So I went online looking for some free pedigree chart that was cute and that I could print off for the girls, but couldn’t find anything, so I decided to make my own.
I started looking for pictures of trees online, and I took my inspiration from this cute picture that I found:

This is what I ended up with. I was pleased with how it turned out. So, I thought I’d post it here.
(Anyone is welcome to take copies of this family tree and use it for your personal use).

How cute, Stephanie! I'm going to send a link to my SIL because my nieces are really excited about their family history right now. Nice!
This is awesome, exactly what I was looking for! You came up with just the right balance of simple and decorative.
