Funny Eli

The last couple of days Eli has said a few funny little things. (There was one other cute thing that he said the other day too, but I can’t remember now).

We were driving to preschool earlier this week and as we drove past a veteran’s memorial where there is a helicopter and a tank up on a hill, I heard Eli telling Kolby about the tank. He said, “It’s the big car with the long nose that shoots.”

And just now he was working on a puzzle at the dining room table and he started into this conversation:
Eli: “Mommy, you know what we play at school – what Knox and I play?”
Me: “What?”
Eli: “Spies. Not ‘I Spy,’ but ‘Spies.’ I know what spies are. They love good people, but they do battle to bad people.”
Me: “Really?”
Eli: “Yeah, Knox telled me that. He’s seen real spies before.”
Me: “Really?”
Eli: “Yeah. It’s cool.”
