Michael’s family has a tradition: they have a story that they read about a family and their friends who gathered for Thanksgiving dinner, but first they were each given 7 dry kernels of corn (supposedly how much was left over at the pilgrim’s first Thanksgiving after all of the food had been harvested, and the remaining corn had been stored for the winter and saved for planting the next season), and they went around and each told something they were thankful for for each kernel of corn they had. So, we read the story and then everyone gets their pieces of corn and we go around in a circle telling what we are thankful for. Here are some video clips from when we did that this Thanksgiving:
