We had fun decorating for Christmas in November. We got out the little fake Christmas tree and decorated it with the more breakable glass ornaments and the little framed family photo ornaments that we have for each year since Michael and I got married. (I have always wanted to go cut down our Christmas tree with our family at a tree farm like I remember doing when I was younger, but I still wanted to put up my little “family tree” earlier in November (since I figured we’d need to wait until December to get a real tree, or else it would be brown by Christmas if we got it too early). Anyways, we put up that tree, put out the nativity sets (including the kids ones for the boys, which they have thoroughly enjoyed), hung up the Christmas wall hanging that my Grandma Bev made and sent to us last year, hung the stockings (which I was pleasantly surprised did not get pulled down by the younger boys barely at all), and put up the garland and ornaments over the windows. Now that Christmas is over and it’s about time to put everything away, I know it’s going to look pretty bare when we have to take it all down again.
