I took this picture back in the end of September, thinking that we had a lot of fallen leaves in our back yard, but that’s nothing compared to how many leaves are in everyone's yards and all over the streets here now (right now you can see more leaves than grass in our back yard). It’s a little overwhelming to try to keep up on all the raking, but it’s sure fun for the boys to jump in all the piles of leaves. The other night we took a short walk around the neighborhood and the boys were jumping in pile after pile of leaves – around here everyone just rakes their leaves to the edge of the curb and then this large truck comes by with this huge hose that hangs off the back and a man holds the hose and sucks up everyone's leaves, which is also kind of fun for the boys to watch. Oh, and this photo is of the “burning bush” in our back yard, with the neighbor’s yellow and green trees in the background – I didn’t even adjust the color on the photo in Photoshop or anything, pretty cool, huh?
And here are a bunch of fun shots of the boys playing in the first pile of leaves we made in our back yard earlier this month.
