A Good Try

Well, I tried it. I got up with Michael at 5:30am. Kolby was already up and Courtland was starting to cry when we woke up. I got Courtland a bottle and Michael changed his diaper and then we got Kolby back in bed, and took a shower. When I got out of the shower Eli was getting up and Isaac was crying loudly in his room (he cries if Eli leaves him in their bedroom alone). Eli used the bathroom and we sent him back to his room, and got Isaac calmed down. I had enough time to dry my hair and put on make-up, and then read my scriptures while Michael and I ate breakfast. By 6:30 all the boys were up. At least I got to see Michael before he left for work. And I got to get ready for the day. 5:30 is way too early for the boys to be getting up, though. And they’ve been getting up early like this a lot lately. They were sleeping in until 7:30 or occasionally one or two of them would sleep in until 8:00 a month or two ago. I thought kids were supposed to sleep better as it got closer to wintertime and it’s not as bright out. It hasn’t really been cold, but it’s been rainy and cool this week, so I’m going to get some nice warm blankets for their beds today to see if being cozy warm will help them sleep better. Hopefully that will help. Because if I wanted to get up in enough time to get something done before they wake up, and they continue to get up early, I’d be getting up in the middle of the night. Well, I’m off to see about those blankets.

Oh, man. Well, I like your attitude, Steph. Good job! And good luck finding some time for yourself -- I bet you'll be happier just like your friend's good advice suggested!
