Michael took all four boys to the annual church Fathers and Sons Campout, and they came home tired and happy after a great trip. Among other things, the boys enjoyed playing with dogs that some people brought, making a “weather rock,” shooting guns, and using marshmallow launchers. (Although Michael was pretty worn out when he got home, I was proud of him because none of the boys even fell into the fire pit, got lost, or got eaten by a bear!) And now he is a sort of hero – I keep having men of all ages coming up to me at church and commenting on how amazing Michael was to take all the boys and how they could never do anything like that themselves.
